I have a 42'' Philips tv. It has HD capability. I am not sure if it is a LCD or High Def. the models name. But Some how the color got messed up. The model number is 42PF5321D/37 what should the color settings on the tv's menu be at?
I just purchased a 50" Hitachi plasma 1080 (P50S601) and a Magnavox Blu-Ray player. I have it hooked up through a HDMI cable. I just watched Spiderman 3 on blu-ray and was disappointed with the quality of the picture. It was a better pitcure than my old set-up which was a 42" Panasonic plasma 720 and a DVD player but didn't have the "WOW" factor that I see in the Best Buy's and Circuit City's. Also, I don't know if I have the pitcure settings on the TV at the ideal setting. I was told to set (color, sharpness, etc..)in the middle and the contrast between 75-100.
I’m trying to decide which type of TV I should buy. I'm looking to buy a 37 inch and don’t want to spend that much. I'm currently looking at dynex and vizio TVs. Does anyone have either of these or does anyone have a suggestion on another TV that is as cheap as those two. Thanks
I have guide plus gold on my rca tv and I was wondering if I could use it with my satellite reciever I have a old starchoice reciever so the program guide isnt very good. is there anyway that i could do this?
I'm considering just for fun building a little box to house an LCD computer monitor and doing the 'diy big screen tv' thing. I know it's not good quality and all that, but is there software, preferably free, that will allow me to 'mirror' flip the screen or flip in top to bottom? When you do the 'diy big screen tv' the image passes through a fresnel lense which shows mirror images what it should show. (i.e. someone moving left to right in the movie now moves right to left.) Anyways, anyone know of software that handles this? More Details: Bottom Line is this, when the screen is finally viewed. It will be backwards. Left will be right, right will be left. I'm running it off an LCD monitor connected to a computer. I'm a .NET software engineer so I should know how to flip it back, but I don't. I'm looking for software that will flip a screen backwards so left it right and right is left. Like a mirror image.

My husband works with a guy that is selling a 40'' (I think) Panasonic DLP...he wants it really bad, he will sell it to my husband for $200.00 and it comes with some kind of stand or something, he will give us 30 days, if it breaks or something within 30 days then he will give us our money back but do you think thats worth it? We need a new t.v. and have the extra money but I thought I heard once that they can be expensive to fix. Also how big is 40 inch....is the screen 40 inch or the whole tv? Oh, and he's only selling it because he is moving into a 1 bedroom apartment and doesnt like to have t.v. in his bedroom and has a 50 something inch already I think, he works with my husband, I only seen him a couple times he seems like a decent guy.
